development, fundraising, and building a strong and lasting progressive infrastructure for organizations led by persons of color. Before joining the Creosote Team, Hugo served as the Deputy Director of the Arizona Donor Alliance. Prior to the Alliance, Hugo was Development Director with the Maricopa County Democratic Party where he developed a professional fundraising portfolio for the organization including major giving and direct mail.

In addition to his fundraising knowledge, Hugo brings a wealth of candidate campaign experience. Highlights include managing the 2016 Adrian Fontes for Maricopa County Recorder campaign, serving as finance director for the 2014 David Garcia for Superintendent campaign, and other consulting work on local, legislative and statewide races.
